Does your child exhibit any of the following signs?*

·       Difficulty learning the alphabet, numbers, days of the week, months of the year

·       Difficulty rhyming or telling which words start with the same sound

·       Mixing up sounds in words (ex: aminal for animal, hekalopter for heliocopter,

hangaberg for hamburger, mazageen for magazine, mawn lower for lawn mower)

·       Difficulty remembering names of colors or shapes

·       Confusion about directionality words:

                              Right/Left                       Over/Under

                              First/Last                       Before/After

·       Difficulty learning and/or remembering the letters in own name

·       Difficulty learning to write own name

·       Difficulty with fine motor skills (compared to peers) such as learning how to:

hold a pencil, tie shoes, use buttons or zippers

*These early risk signs are often unexpected in otherwise bright, social, highly verbal children.

Join us and learn how current educational research demonstrates how best to educate children at-risk for dyslexia and other reading difficulties.
